Project Description
Recipe browser is a sample application that demonstrates how you can build a real life application using Silverlight and WCF RIA services. It demonstrates patterns and practices that will help you build a better Silverlight application with WCF RIA services.
What’s the project all about?
This project is all about figuring out what patterns work with RIA services. You might see patterns in the project that you don’t want or don’t like for various reasons. Please feel free to discuss on the forum and help find a better solution. The reason to use an open-source project for this is simple. I’m probably not the only person trying to figure this out and I think that there are others who know more than me about the subject. So there it is, I’m inviting you (Yes, you behind the keyboard) to tag along and help extend this sample with patterns and best practices.
Is that all?
Nah, not all, the application is also a fun example of what you can achieve in Silverlight 4. You can use this as an inspiration for your own applications or as a real recipe administration tool. Things might be incomplete at the start, but I will continue to add new pieces to make the application complete.
